اِسْتِشْهاد (اقتِباس)‏ \ citation, quotation. \ اِسْتَشْهَد بِـ \ quote: to repeat words that were spoken or written by sb. else (or by oneself at some other time): Don’t quote me! (Don’t tell others that I said this!). He often quotes poetry. She was quoting (from) Shakespeare.
